About this camp

SAY San Diego Camp STEAM offers a holistic approach to learning in a safe and engaging environment, exposing students from UTK to 5th grade to a variety of STEAM activities. The camp fosters innovation, creative problem-solving, collaboration, and critical thinking by combining elements of science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. Activities are planned by staff and may include morning fitness/running club, outdoor enrichment, organized games, raffles, STEAM rotations and challenges, and weekly theme-based activities. Campers also have a 'Wheel's day' once a week where they can bring skates or scooters (helmets mandatory) and a 'Bring a toy from home day' once a week. Occasional field trips are also planned.

The program aims to develop essential life skills beyond academic knowledge, such as critical thinking, creative problem-solving, communication, and leadership through team-based activities. Hands-on learning encourages resilience by embracing trial and error. Students leave with new knowledge and the confidence to tackle challenges and express their ideas.
