About this camp

The Qualcomm Institute AI Entrepreneurship Program at UC San Diego is a four-week summer program designed for high school students interested in applying AI to real-world problems and exploring AI-based entrepreneurship. Participants learn fundamental AI concepts and gain hands-on experience with modern AI development tools and platforms, including the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) AI ecosystem, Claude Code, GitHub, and Render. Students work in teams to identify problems, design solutions, and develop, deploy, and demonstrate functional AI service platforms. The program culminates in the QI AI Entrepreneurship Hackathon Showcase, where teams present their AI service platforms, technical implementations, and potential real-world applications. Following the program, participants are required to either participate in a global AI-related entrepreneurship hackathon or pursue the development of a startup based on their project.
